Urban rivers of people
Many rivers flow within our cities, even in the driest of them. These are rivers of people, traffic, and even sometimes animals. But the human eye is not adapted to see these as rivers, for their resolution is limited. However, with a camera, we can overcome these limitations and see things for what they are NOT. Or what else they could be, a central theme of my work.

An ode to the essential workers of the pandemic
The essential workers all over the world kept us all going during the Covid pandemic. More should really be done to recognize their sacrifices, and really, it is a global debt that we owe them. Within my project, I have tried in my own way to memorialize their toil lest we forget.

Every picture tells an “unintended” story
They say that every picture tells a story, but in my view, every picture tells an unintended story, for what we understand in a photograph is different for everybody. As an example, read about the making of this image of a woman on a beach braving hurricane ETA as it came ashore and why, for me, it is not a story about someone's foolhardy behavior.

A documentary photo project about the Covid pandemic
Find out about the making of my upcoming book, Scenes from a World in Lockdown, a photobook about the Covid19 pandemic and its effect on our lives. This project surveyed the world using public webcams and documented the global lockdown’s impact on people, cities, and nature.
