Seeing the Shibuya Crossing on a rainy day
Shibuya Crossing on a Rainy Day
I don’t know why, but I was thinking about Tokyo today. Next year, 2022, was the year that I had thought that I’d be able to visit Japan for the first time. Have wanted to go forever, but never could. Now, with the pandemic raging again, it is all up in the air again.
Shibuya Crossing is famous the world over. Perhaps as crossings go, it is the most famous. There are multiple webcams at this location that transmit on the Internet all the time, letting us all to spy on the movements of people there from the comfort of home.
It is particularly interesting to see it during a public event, like New Year’s Day Eve or even during a rainy day, when all the wonderful transparent umbrellas of the Tokyo citizens come out. This image is taken on just such a rainy day.
