A window onto a lonely and deserted world. An artistic visual diary of the Covid pandemic’s effects on urban life, as witnessed by webcams the world over.
For this project, I substituted various public webcam streams for my physical presence at their locations. With the feeds running on TV, I took pictures of the key moments using a mirrorless camera to tell stories of the pandemic.
The Making of the Book
A personal and emotive story of a world “inlockdown” , with the empty urban places, the solitude that we all shared, and the beauty of nature without our presence. Nothing to celebrate, but a lot to remember.
