This is an artistic documentary of the locked-down world using the various public webcams that stream on the Internet. Locked up in my own house, I used these webcams as my personal window to the world, capturing emotional stories of solitude, emptiness and the desertion of our urban places, that can never be forgotten.
The Capitol Riot
In the afternoon of January 6th, 2021, the American democracy came under attack at the hands of its own. Like most, I watched it play out online and on live TV through a content stream, the likes of which I had never seen. Transfixed, I soon realized that the integrated but multi-faceted view of the stream would be lost forever once the moment is over.
This thought gave birth to an idea: capture the moment in the content streams and compile a visual story from one outraged spectator's standpoint.
